Meeting a friend or associate for a drink or meal can be an enjoyable way to relax, and cafes provide the ideal atmosphere for such activities. Cafes offer an extensive selection of coffee, tea, and other hot and cold beverages as well as pastries, sandwiches, and other light snacks. But apart from being just a place to grab refreshments, cafes also serve a deeper social and cultural purpose in acting as a gathering spot for artists and other creatives. A wide range of cafe styles are available around the globe; they come in all shapes and sizes from cozy little ones to large modern establishments. Melbourne is known for its thriving cafe culture, and there are countless cafes throughout the city. Here is a list of some of the best cafes in Melbourne. Whether you’re looking for a unique brunch spot or an intimate corner café, this list will help you find your perfect coffee fix.

1 Krimper Cafe

Krimper’s design concept revolves around embracing the building’s past and its story. This may seem seemingly easy, yet it has proved to be a difficult challenge. Illuminated by only minimal lighting, the water-blasted brick wall and Japanese-dyed ply ground created an intimate atmosphere. The café tables and chairs were constructed from recycled lift doors, and reclaimed timber pieces and combined with a 100-year-old disused lift car that serves as a dining booth providing character to the café’s space.

Review on Google – This cafe represents Melbourne cafe/brunch culture to the T! Hidden in a little alleyway, great food, great coffee, great service. Eggs benny is a must. French toast or pancakes are super yummy too (depending on what’s on the menu. Menu does change from time to time). Interior is upcycled rustic themed. Definitely worth a visit! – June Tan

Review on Google– “Yes, the food there was crazily nice, can tell this can be another level of meals. Loved coffee too! Just one thing, it is extremely busy and loud as this is the one of famous one in Melbourne and people are lining up at the front, staffs all were trying to clean as quick as all finished and ask if needed more, all understandable. But if you want to catch up with your friends or family chill-lax, this cannot be But highly worth to go to have food, coffee thereSonia
