Melbourne is a hot tourist spot that is home to many popular attractions in almost every area. Whether you want to explore the city by foot or by bike, or whether you want to take in its natural beauty while you're out hiking and camping in the wilderness, Melbourne has something for everyone. But when it comes to active vacations, there are certain places that are better than others - places like aquariums and zoos. ...
Aquariums and zoos are great places to visit. But even if you're not the type who enjoys getting up close and personal with animals, these can still be fun places to spend your time. Many activities can be done at aquariums, such as watching fish swim or diving into a tank. Zoos offer more opportunities for exploring the world, with unpredictable creatures and habitats right on display.

Review on Google – “Sensational experience. There were a lot of people when I visited today. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the layout meant we got great views of all the displays. The displays were creative and informative. The short movie was wonderful – enjoyed by all three generations in our group. A wonderful way to spend a few hours.” – tracey cairns

Review on Goggle Excellent adventure…! I really enjoyed the beautiful environment and scenery! It’s a great experience to see the Australian animals. It’s better to book the ticket in advance. The price is affordable. You can either bring your lunch or buy it from several cafes in there. It takes almost a full day to visit all parts of the zoo. Highly recommended in school holidays…” – mahshid sadri

Review on Google The sanctuary seems to be run very well. I went in late June so a bit wet. There is an amazing amount of creatures here that were all healthy and active. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely excited about their animals. The bird experience is amazing. It’s a must see. I highly recommend taking the VIP tour. It’s a bit pricey for those on a budget however, totally worth it as you get to be up close to several animals. I won’t spoil the surprise which ones but trust me, it’s worth it. Outside if the beautiful Yarra Valley wine region. Bring your walking shoes and plan on spending several hours there to see all the creatures they have. Food on site is good. Great place for kids. Highly recommend!”-Tony Lancaster

Review on Google Great experience. The zoo is much bigger than expected. Expect to spend at least 3 hours here if walking around to every exhibit. Cute deer and really up and close experience with the cheetahs and giraffes. Quite unique and we think this is comparable to any of the major zoos like Werribee open range or Melbourne Zoo” –Tony Fang
